Resident Manager 2-Person Team

We are currently seeking a Resident Manager Team to live and work at one of our properties in Peterborough, ON. This position would require you to live on-site and work four weekdays each week, every second weekend and on-call some evenings.
This position would require you to work with a partner and share a two-bedroom apartment.

The Opportunity
Realstar is a leading residential property management company with over 160 properties across Canada. Resident Managers provides critical hands-on leadership in a residential rental building .
Key Responsibilities Of Resident Managers

•   Conduct market surveys and hold open houses
•   Coordination of month-end duties and responsibilities
•   Ensuring the proper physical maintenance of the building and surrounding property
•   Show and sell suites to prospective tenants
•   Ensure the complex and grounds are kept clean daily in accordance with company standards
•   Process resident applications including completion of background and credit checks
•   Daily management and training of support staff
•   Negotiate lease renewals in conjunction with established targets
•   Fostering a friendly and professional environment for residents & prospective residents
•   Ensuring rents are collected on a timely basis

Requirements Of Resident Managers

•  2-3 years of experience in a similar role
•  Management skills to coach, train, and motivate staff and develop a team environment
•  Excellent communication skills to deal with residents, prospects, colleagues and trades
•  Cleaning and maintenance skills
•  Strong customer service and selling skills
•  Ability to work some evening and weekends.
•  Ability to work in a team environment
