Pull test equipment as part of recertification

Ensuring all required parts and components for recertification are in stock or on order

Experience in moving, assembling, disassembling, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of machinery and equipment

Inspect machinery as it arrives, unload parts, and assemble with the safe and effective use of hand and power tools

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements

Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools

Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials

Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems

Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, molding and hardware

Assembling and installing machines then testing them to make sure they are working correctly

Must work in full compliance with the approved safety regulations

Managing the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtime

Identifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts

Dismantling older machines and replacing them with new ones

Overseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn out pieces and lubricating mechanical parts

Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a fast-paced, highly automated manufacturing environment.

Experienced using a lathe, mill, drill press and other machining equipment.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience with printing and high-speed packaging equipment.

Experienced using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Respond to breakdowns with a sense of urgency.

Troubleshooting and problem solving of production equipment.

Report facility-related deficiencies for remediation by the Facilities Management department

4 periods of Millwright Apprenticeship training as well as 7200 hours of practical onsite experience

Experience maintaining or using Machining equipment such as Lathes and Mills is an asset

Basic knowledge of computer applications and comfort learning new ones

Forklift experience is an asset

Lastly, you'll be expected to perform any other reasonable duties assigned by management.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, are necessary.

You'll utilize your expertise to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment while sharing knowledge with other maintenance personnel.

You should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance role within an industrial environment.

Experience in performing preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment is essential.

Responding promptly to production calls and ensuring operational equipment is crucial for smooth production runs.

Post-secondary education in a related field.

3– 5 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.

Possess a valid Millwright Certification (433-A).

Maintain all equipment and systems.

Must work in full compliance with the approved safety regulations.

Responsible for Food Safety and reporting any non-compliance issues immediately.

Journeyman Millwright Certificate or Inter-provincial certification under the Red Seal Program

Basic computer skills with ability to learn in-house system

Demonstrate organizational skills and personal initiative

Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills

Excellent documentation, communication and interpersonal skills

Experience as a Millwright in a heavy industrial environment

General working knowledge of: Automation, Motor and burner controls and Energy Management Systems

Basic knowledge of PLC Systems

We are growing our Maintenance team and are looking for a Millwright to join the team.

2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing facility as a maintenance mechanic millwright, industrial millwright, maintenance millwright, millwright mechanic, etc.

Has a diverse experience in welding (tig/arc), fabricating, troubleshooting, repair, rebuilding, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical work and general facility maintenance.

Hands-on knowledge of pumps, conveyors, agitators, gear boxes, meat grinders and compressors.

Proven experience in operating a tow motor and aerial work platform (scissor lift).

Firm knowledge and understanding of HACCP would be an asset.

Strong verbal and written communications skills; ability to speak, read and write English, and to follow written and verbal instructions.
