Millwright Journeyperson Jobs in British Columbia

Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a fast-paced, highly automated manufacturing environment.

Experienced using a lathe, mill, drill press and other machining equipment.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience with printing and high-speed packaging equipment.

Experienced using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Respond to breakdowns with a sense of urgency.

Troubleshooting and problem solving of production equipment.

Journeyman Millwright Certificate or Inter-provincial certification under the Red Seal Program

Basic computer skills with ability to learn in-house system

Demonstrate organizational skills and personal initiative

Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills

Excellent documentation, communication and interpersonal skills

Experience as a Millwright in a heavy industrial environment

Experience with pump rebuilds, mechanical seals, hydraulic systems, bearing installation and other industrial equipment

A valid Inter-Provincial or BC Provincial Journeyperson Carpenter certification

We Are Currently Looking For a Motivated

4-5 years of related industrial experience, preferably in maintenance

Install, repair, maintain, troubleshoot and adjust mechanical production process equipment.

Perform preventative maintenance on a wide variety of industrial process systems.

Work effectively from drawings and manuals

Good vision (glasses are acceptable)

Ability to work as part of a team

Journeyperson parts certification coupled with previous parts, warehouse, Shop Parts and Caterpillar product knowledge.

Computer literacy with applicable software knowledge along with shop parts experience

Attend all TEAMS meetings, micro learnings, and trainings requested by the Regional Parts Manager.

This self-motivated individual will be a team player with highly developed organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Experience with SIS, Lawson M3, and the MS Office Package will be considered assets.

This position supports our client located at Teck on a 7 x 7 continuous shift rotation
