Coordinate and interface with field to execute earned value management.

Measures work progress against budget and notifies Project Management of any discrepancies.

Engineering Technology Diploma or other related technical diploma required. A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.

Assists Project Managers with project execution.

Tracking requirements of the quality management processes or plans to ensure they are met

Basic knowledge of project management principles

Strong organizational and time management skills

Coordinating data management and information transfer, including setting up and maintaining filing systems, document logs and action item list

Coordinating logistical requirements for the project team such as travel and mobilization

Assisting with developing and tracking HSSE requirements and associated plans

Minimum one (1) year of experience in Electrical Design and troubleshooting;

Experience in control system and electrical panel design using AutoCAD Electrical or ePlan platforms;

Working knowledge of PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron) and HMI programming;

Experience working in the food, manufacturing, agriculture, pulp and paper, or forestry/lumber industries will be considered an asset.

Strong knowledge of HVAC design and engineering concepts;

Strong knowledge of energy modelling (including use of software);

2-5 years of experience in engineering;

Administering consulting agreements and construction contracts for the maintenance, rehabilitation and expansion of Metrolinx’s network and infrastructure.

Forecast and report capital project expenditures such as consultant fees, purchase orders, construction contracts and change orders.

Participates in the development and review of estimates for project engineering, construction and contingency costs, and project schedules.

Prepare performance evaluation, cost analysis and lessons learned for consultants and contractors.

Completion of a degree in Engineering, Architectural is an asset.

Review internal and external environmental assessments for content, coordination requirements, and impacts to Metrolinx programs/projects, and monitor environmental sustainability developments.

Ensure environmental assessment commitments and conditions are achieved, and reporting requirements documented for submission, to achieve project compliance.

Develop, conduct and recommend mitigation standards and procedures requirements for new technology in Environmental Assessments and in capital works projects.

Knowledge of project, standards, specifications, and applicable environmental legislation.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work independently, strong interpersonal and negotiating skills and analytical ability are a must.

Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or equivalent is considered an asset.

Assemble and prepare preliminary submission and circulate within the project/department for initial and informal review.

Complete and formally submit submissions for the division in close collaboration with the project teams, project controls, and legal departments.

Liaise with relevant departments to address issues related to submissions or the process.

Track and support the resolution of any issues related to the contract requests with the relevant project

Elaborate and maintain reporting guidelines and related materials for MCPC and Board reporting

Review policies and procedures and recommend improved processes for project cost management.

Provide capital cost control, variance analysis and reporting requirements for multiple complex and multi-disciplined major projects.

Interpret project-specific business requirements and ensure alignment with Enbridge’s project lifecycle gating control processes.

Work closely with the PMO and the Financial Services department and liaise with other project stakeholders for project related responsibilities.

5+ years of directly related experience

Ability to effectively manage and prioritize workload and resolve issues in a timely manner

Understand the Prime Contract invoicing requirements. Maintain required billing backups. Prepare monthly invoice package for approval by Project Manager.

Work with vendors and suppliers to make sure our client's invoicing standard requirements are met.

Support project team in the administration of subcontracts and other project contractual requirements.

Some basic knowledge of company ERP systems, and/or scheduling applications would be beneficial.

Review and code internal time sheets, supplier PO and invoices, and subcontract LEMs if required.

Maintain commercial change order list and track internal change orders. Reflect them in our cost and revenue forecast accordingly.

Understand the Prime Contract invoicing requirements. Maintain required billing backups. Prepare monthly invoice package for approval by Project Manager.

Work with vendors and suppliers to make sure Michels Canada invoicing standard requirements are met.

Support project team in the administration of subcontracts and other project contractual requirements.

6 months minimum experience in related engineering or project accountant/cost control related position or project scheduling

Some basic knowledge of company ERP systems, and/or scheduling applications would be beneficial.

Review and code internal time sheets, supplier PO and invoices, and subcontract LEMs if required.

Preparing and issuing cut lists to the shop floor to facilitate productivity requirements

Identifying gaps in material requirements and coordinating with the procurement team to ensure delivery of material aligns with fabrication schedules

Ability to manage time, shift priorities and focus as needs of the projects change

Experience with Steel Fabrication processes and scheduling is an asset

Coordinating with the plant production planners to ensure timely delivery of cut lists in alignment with the weekly fabrication schedule.

Support the set-up and implementation of the project controls management systems, processes, and workflows

Support the preparation of routine project and ad-hoc status reports and dashboards for project managers, senior management and clients.

Perform change management functions and maintain change management records of scope changes, trends, and variances

Solid software skills in Excel are required, experience with SharePoint, MS PowerBI, MS Teams, Epicor and P6 is preferred

Prepare and organize monthly project forecasts in coordination with the project managers and project accountants

Collaborates with the financial controls team on periodic budgeting and forecasting requirements

Review internal and external environmental assessments for content, coordination requirements, and impacts to Metrolinx programs/projects, and monitor environmental sustainability developments.

Ensure TPAP, Class EA, and CEAA screening report conditions are achieved, and reporting requirements documented for submission, to achieve project compliance.

Work with the different functional groups to provide benchmarking information and feedback on risk management accuracy, and support development as required.

Currently in your last year of a university or technical college diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.

An understanding of project management, project controls or cost engineering processes would be strongly desired.

Assist and support Risk Director, Project Managers and Project Controls Analysts with risk analysis, benchmarking and document initiatives.

Analyze historical project risk information and manage and maintain risk registers.
