Administering consulting agreements and construction contracts for the maintenance, rehabilitation and expansion of Metrolinx’s network and infrastructure.

Forecast and report capital project expenditures such as consultant fees, purchase orders, construction contracts and change orders.

Participates in the development and review of estimates for project engineering, construction and contingency costs, and project schedules.

Prepare performance evaluation, cost analysis and lessons learned for consultants and contractors.

Completion of a degree in Engineering, Architectural is an asset.

Demonstrated senior level experience in managing large-scale project and portfolio management organizations, in highly complex organizations

Significant experience with expectations management, change management and operational transformation programs

Has oversight over multiple cross-functional teams and utilizes depth of experience in leading multiple Project

Significant experience with leading high-performing teams, as well as experience with project and program planning & delivery models and methodologies

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Coordinate and monitor field service appointments with internal and external customers, track field service completion, and ensure customer requirements are met.

1-3 years of client-facing experience

Communicate internally and externally with project members, stakeholders, and customers.

Schedule, host, and attend onsite meetings as required and document meeting minutes

Minimum of 5 to 7 years of project coordination/management experience

Strong financial management experience with program/project budgets

Advanced experience with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint and enjoys creating presentations for executive management

Knowledge of project management tools (e.g., CA PPM) and techniques

Identify resource requirements, set expectations, and manage stakeholders

Manage and has ownership for the reporting for all work packages within the project.

Detailed knowledge of project management including cost control, scheduling, codes, standards, specifications, corporate procedures and applicable contract legislation.

Proficiency in the use of project management software and computer applications is essential.

Knowledge of the theory, principles and practices of civil engineering and architecture.

Oversee engineering and/or architectural consultant services for the execution of infrastructure projects for new construction and alterations to existing fixed facilities.

Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to address design review comments; coordinate other projects interface.

Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including customer service, communication, teamwork, initiative/self management and accountability and flexibility/adaptability.

Assesses overall building condition and prepares reports for management to communicate deficiencies and expectations.

Successful completion of a Community College Diploma in Architectural or Engineering Sciences or approved equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Obtains input and requirements from other Regional Departments and Branches for the design of the assigned Regional capital renovation projects.

Knowledge of building construction and maintenance administration, including building elements and systems in a variety of buildings.

Knowledge of applicable Federal and Provincial Building Codes, the Construction Act, Municipal By-laws and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Communicate updates internally and externally. Result/requirements/expectations.

Some previous experience as a project coordinator is a plus.

Provide technical support where required on project coordination and customer support.

Communicate through various mediums on reporting/tracking project execution and logistics.

Escalate customer concerns as required.

Attend and host meetings as required to meet project objectives.

Previous experience in Resource Management, Sales Operations, or Delivery Management roles. Ideally with prior experience at a digital agency

Drive operational excellence by supporting resource planning, utilization & program financial management, and administration of our Professional Services Automation (PSA) tool

Provide assistance to the Program Director in delivery-related and administrative responsibilities across engagements on the program

2+ years of experience in the technology space, experience working in the software development life cycle

Deep experience in building out effective reporting to drive data-driven decision-making on

Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
