Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)

Drive the evolution of brand strategy and consistent messaging stories that are clear for internal business partners and external stakeholders.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Provide support to the Reputation Management team in implementing its broader plan.

Excellent research skills, with the ability to synthesize information and communicate it effectively.

Strong knowledge of SharePoint in M365, Hootsuite and familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and Canva

Regularly maintain our social media calendar and scheduling posts accordingly to maximize their reach and exposure.

Identify company associations, affiliations, and target audiences that our posts can be tailored to.

Superior process management and organizational skills

Oversee and manage the distribution list for the daily media report

Manage relationships with third-party vendors related to media licensing and reporting

Review and manage invoices and assist with contract renewals for third-party vendors

Manage updates to TD external sites, working with colleagues to approve content and article staging

Strong writing skills and comfort creating content for multiple channels

Minimum of 5 years of experience in social media, or community management

Knowledge of user experience and or communication field

Level 17: Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $79,424 to $105,899, plus performance-based incentive

Knowledge of global social media trends and practices

A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Primary responsibilities for this role may include but are not limited to the following:

Plan and draft speeches and speaking notes for speaking engagement aimed at a primarily Canadian audience

Draft and executes communications plan for domestic-focused events and investment announcements.

Provides communications support to the Corporate team, including drafting and review of ATIPs, OPQs, parliamentary questions and reporting documents, as required

Strong relationship-building, diplomacy and consultation skills, along with audience needs-assessment capabilities and proven project management skills.

Minimum 15 years of demonstrated communications experience including employee communications, executive communications, external communications, media relations and issues management.

Proven experience consulting with, and writing for, executives and senior management, working with interdisciplinary teams and managing communications processes.

Proven experience leading issues management with internal and external stakeholders including reputational risk management.

Minimum of 5 years leading and coaching a high-performing communications team illustrating demonstrated leadership skills.

Proven experience leading and executing integrated communications and change strategies to support large transformation initiatives.

Professional experience in social media management would be considered an asset.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple competing and changing priorities.

Experience in a client service role.

Experience in providing communications or strategic advice.

The above experience within a government setting would be considered an asset.

Completion of post-secondary education in communications or a related field is an asset.

Assume overall account management responsibilities for our paying partners and ensure our account team is set up for success.

Proactive and collaborative team skills and the ability to manage shifting priorities;

Project manager and agency experience

Coach the PR Managers and give them the platform to grow and take ownership of accounts.

Work with the PR Managers to establish the best account split ensuring there is a fair and balanced assignment of accounts.

Manage the process of re-signing existing clients.

Manage the recruitment, selection, orientation and training of staff

Prepare and implement corporate communications and public engagement strategies and plans in support of corporate departments, divisions and initiatives

Lead, coach and oversee performance and development of direct staff reports

Provide guidance, support and direction to staff regarding priorities of the team and the annual work plan

Oversee brand awareness, design and digital communications

Provide recommendations to staff on key messages for media interviews, including advice on issues of a sensitive nature, as required

Manages appointed agencies to assist with luxury / lifestyle / business communications, including logistics and event management.

Meticulously manages agencies to deliver brand-relevant and corporate communications to a high standard and within budget.

Good level of experience with a luxury brand and / or sustainability communications is essential.

Significant experience in public relations, having maintained direct contact with the most highly influential media throughout.

Extensive knowledge and understanding of global lifestyle/luxury/business media and direct, personal contact to leading journalists at the relevant outlets.

Significant organisational, scheduling and coordination experience.

Strong management and organizational skills with the ability to develop and execute multiplatform communications strategies while managing an account team

Experience managing large scale client engagements independently

Ability to think creatively, approach communications from new angles, and manage both up and down the organization

Education - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Suggest work experience is 14+ years of public relations/corporate communications/media or relevant experience

Serves as a trusted business advisor by influencing client direction, as appropriate, to strengthen long-term relationships

Provide support for the crisis management team;

Effectively and accurately manage general inquiries, media monitoring, media requests, and the distribution of press releases;

1-3 years of experience in a similar position;

Excellent oral and written skills in French and English, including grammar;

Excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy and the ability to maintain complete discretion;

Past experience in external communications is considered an asset;

Project management skills to plan, manage and execute strategies and undertake post-strategy evaluations and to manage external service providers and vendors

Assessing experience and qualifications of individuals who have not completed an apprenticeship program in Ontario

Establishing apprenticeship programs, including training standards, curriculum standards and certification exams

Issuing Certificates of Qualification in all trades with certifying exams

Renewing Certificates of Qualification in compulsory trades

Manage the corporate communications team members and budget

Proven time management skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to think critically and analytically

French writing and speaking abilities, and pension experience are considered assets

Document and follow process management best practices, ensuring all timelines are met
