Overview:
Admissions RNs are responsible for the assessment, planning, and coordination of patient care for those admitted to a healthcare facility. They are responsible for ensuring that all admissions are completed in a timely and efficient manner, and that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and in accordance with facility policies and procedures.Detailed Job Description:
Admissions RNs are responsible for assessing the needs of patients upon admission to the facility. This includes conducting a physical assessment, obtaining a medical history, and assessing the patient's current condition. They must also be able to accurately document all information in the patient's medical record. Admissions RNs must be able to communicate effectively with patients and their families, as well as other healthcare professionals. They must also be able to coordinate with other departments to ensure that all necessary tests and treatments are completed in a timely manner.What is Admissions Job Skills Required?
Admissions RNs must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They must be able to work independently and as part of a team. They must also be able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects at once. Additionally, they must be knowledgeable of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and medical coding.What is Admissions Job Qualifications?
Admissions RNs must possess a valid nursing license and be in good standing with their state board of nursing. They must also have a minimum of an Associate’s degree in nursing, although a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
