At this time, we are adding a highly skilled and experienced MBAAdmissions Consultantto our team. Our team leverages the power of close collaboration. For this reason, the ideal candidate should be located in Atlantic Canada. This role will report directly to the firm’s Managing Partners.


Description


TheAdmissions Consultantwill be responsible for guiding MBA applicants throughout the competitive admissions process, providing personalized support and assisting them in gaining acceptance to top-tier MBA programs worldwide. Your expertise and insights will play a critical role in helping our clients achieve their academic and professional goals.


Responsibilities


· Admissions Strategy Development: Develop personalized admissions strategies for clients, including school selection, essay topic suggestions, recommendation letter guidance, and interview preparation.

· Application Review: Thoroughly review and critique clients' application materials, including resumes, essays, and other required documents, to ensure clarity, coherence, and alignment with the target MBA programs' expectations.

· Essay Editing and Feedback: Provide expert editing and feedback on clients' application essays, ensuring they showcase their strengths, accomplishments, and contributions to the MBA program.

· Interview Preparation: Conduct mock interviews with clients to enhance their interview skills, simulate real interview scenarios, and provide constructive feedback to help them feel confident and prepared.

· Test Score Analysis: Analyze clients' GMAT, GRE, EA, TOEFL, or IELTS scores and advise on strategies to improve their performance, including recommending test preparation resources if needed.

· School Research: Stay up-to-date with MBA program trends, admission criteria, and school-specific requirements to provide clients with the latest information on their target schools.

· Client Success Tracking: Track clients' progress throughout the admissions process to ensure the highest possible admission rate for the firm.

· Industry Networking: Build and maintain strong relationships with MBA program admissions officers, attend industry conferences, and participate in relevant networking events to stay informed about program updates and strengthen the firm's reputation.

· Continuous Improvement: Provide ongoing feedback on the firm’s admissions consulting methodologies to ensure our services remain effective and aligned with the ever-changing landscape of MBA admissions.


Requirements


· Career Fit: Passionate about the role of education in society and helping people achieve their goals.

· Academic Credentials: A graduate degree from a reputable institution, preferably an MBA or related field.

· Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of proven success in MBA admissions consulting with a demonstrated ability to guide clients to successful outcomes. Having firsthand experience with the MBA application process is highly advantageous.

· Expertise: In-depth knowledge of top MBA programs, their admission criteria, and an understanding of the different MBA program types (full-time, part-time, executive). Familiarity with various MBA program specializations (e.g., finance, marketing, entrepreneurship) is desirable.

· Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance to clients effectively. Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport and build trust with clients during the consulting process.

· Empathy: A strong sense of empathy and the ability to connect with clients, understand their unique backgrounds, and offer support throughout the admissions journey. A client-centric approach to consulting is essential.

· Time Management: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously. Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic consulting environment.

· Industry Insights: Knowledge of trends and developments in the MBA admissions landscape and an understanding of the corporate world to help clients align their career goals with their desired MBA program. Regularly staying informed about industry changes is expected.

· Availability: Due to university admissions calendars, our busiest seasons run from June to September and November to January. The successful candidate must be available during these peak seasons.

· Location: Our team leverages the power of close collaboration. For this reason, the ideal candidate should be located in Atlantic Canada to be able to travel to Halifax, Nova Scotia, for team meetings when required. A suitable environment for working from home, including a computer with a reliable, high-speed internet connection is mandatory.

· An unwavering commitment to ethical consulting practices and maintaining client confidentiality. Integrity and professionalism in all interactions with clients.

· Proficient with Microsoft Word, grammar-checking software, and Dropbox.


Compensation


ThisAdmissions Consultantposition is a part-time remote contract position. The annual compensation ranges from $50,000 to $75,000 CAD depending on the number of clients served during the admissions cycle. The firm expects the candidate to successfully handle a minimum of 20 clients per cycle.


The expected time commitment directly correlates with the number of clients served and the candidate's level of experience. The workload may increase during the admissions peak season.


Regular working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. However, there will be times when theAdmissions Consultantwill have to adapt to meet the client’s availability.
