Well-Bore Analyst

The ideal candidate will conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis across various projects to optimize company growth and business. You will manipulate datasets, create financial models, and summarize findings in a succinct manner for client's usage.

The position of analyst / survey technician will comprise of applying magnetic survey bias corrections to real time and post run oil and gas well bore survey data.This is an exciting role that is in a niche market!

The applicant will be responsible for ensuring accurate data is compiled, identify potential issues with survey data and interact with drilling crews through a 24/7 real time operation center.

The ability to work both independently and in a group setting will be needed. The work shift will consist of a equal time schedule of 1 week of 12hr day shifts, 1 week off, 1 week of 12hr night shifts followed by 1 week off. The successful candidate will work two weeks per month with salary and benefits. This will be a hybrid role once training is completed in our South Edmonton Office.

About Us

Our client is an independent survey analysis and correction company. They offer survey management services to both operators and directional drilling contractors.

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze data related to business' issues
• Understand the day-to-day issues that our business faces, which can be better understood with data
• Develop clear visualizations to convey complicated data in a straightforward fashion
• Skills needed will include data analytics, strong computer skills, networking exposure, understanding of statistics and basic trigonometry.

Qualifications

• 1 - 2 years' Data Analysis experience or Field experience
• No experience required and will train someone who would like to learn a new industry however, must be computer savvy and mathematically inclined.
