Equalizations Analyst Jobs

Canadian Natural’s Equalizations team is seeking a candidate with strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills that enjoys working within a team environment.This role is responsible for understanding Canadian Natural’s conventional facility operations to determine cost allocations between joint venture partners and third party users. This position will provide the candidate an opportunity to develop their critical thinking and gain a broader understanding of facility operations and their governing contracts.

Key Accountabilities:

• Become familiar with commercial agreements to accurately complete Equalization calculations
• Complete other projects as assigned
• Liase with other groups such as Commercial Operations, Joint Venture Accounting and Legal to manage risk with partners
• Calculate the annual throughput adjustments and facility operating rates for joint owned facilities
• Identify and recommend process improvements
• Respond to audit and working interest partner queries on a timely basis
• Review and validate large dollar Non-Operated Equalizations

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• 5-10 years of related industry experience with an Accounting or Business Degree, and/or Production Accounting background.
• Working knowledge of EnterpriseOne Petrinex, Accumap, DAS, AFE Navigator, QBLM, PAS, EnergyLink, Clair.net is an asset
• Ability to meet key deliverable deadlines
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
• Ability to work independently
• Accounting designation would be considered an asset
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
