Welder Fitter Jobs

We are looking for a steel Fatter/Fabricator for one of our clients in Mississauga. They specialize in fabricating and erecting structural steel and joists for Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional Buildings for over 30 years.

Our client offers vast opportunities for growth and is looking for self-motivated team players who are willing to learn about this exciting trade.

Location - Brampton

Shift Timing: 7 am to 4 pm (Monday to Friday), overtime depends on requirements.

Pay rate: $20- $40 per hour depending on experience.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Reporting major concerns and recommended solutions, as necessary.
• Checking that the finished product and its component parts adhere to specifications.
• Aligning, fitting, positioning, and welding components to create whole units or subunits according to layout criteria, additional spoken and written directions, and diagrams.
• Carrying out necessary cutting, shaping, and welding with the right tools, supplies, and hand tools.
• Monitoring, cleaning, troubleshooting, adjusting, and performing required routine maintenance to maintain uptime and equipment reliability and tolerances.
• Reading drawings to layout reference points and dimensions and weld track members on structural members such as W-shapes, HSS, and channels.

What You'll Bring To The Position

• Experience in the structural fabrication environment.
• Thoroughly familiar with the setup and operation of welding machines and other equipment as well as metal fabrication equipment.
• A team player with strong attention to detail, good interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
• Must have experience in using overhead cranes.
• Ability to comprehend and read drawings.
