As a Welder at PYG Welding you’ll play a crucial role in contributing to our continued success and growth.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to ensure accurate welds.
• Prepare materials and set up welding equipment to meet project specifications.
• Collaborate with the production team to achieve project timelines and meet production goals.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations to create a safe work environment.
• Maintain and clean welding equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
• Perform various types of welding, including MIG, Stick, according to project requirements.
• Conduct inspections of welded joints to identify defects and ensure the highest quality standards.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of different metals and alloys and their appropriate welding methods.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Strong self-directed work skills - ability to stay focused and driven without constant supervision. Proactively able to take ownership of tasks and show enthusiasm to achieve goals.
• Proficiency in various welding processes such as Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (Stick), Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), and others.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in welding work.
• Physical and mental resilience to withstand a variety of weather or environmental conditions without compromising job performance.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform welding tasks for extended periods.
• Must have a reliable means of transportation to commute to work. (rural location)
• Proven experience as a welder or similar role with a track record of successful welding projects.
• Understanding of safety guidelines and ability to adhere to all safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Welding certification from a reputable institution or relevant trade school.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Knowledge of CNC Plasma table operation is an asset.
