Job Description

As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will report directly to the Distribution Center Director and be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our warehouse. Your role will involve ensuring performance goals are met, maintaining inventory accuracy, adhering to quality standards, and effectively managing your team. You will supervise employees engaged in inbound flow, inventory control, and outbound flow activities, while ensuring operational efficiency and timely work completion within your area of responsibility.

Principal Tasks
  • Participate in the hiring, training, and development of warehouse personnel.
  • Maintain effective and consistent communication with other members of the distribution center management team.
  • Coordinate, assign, and review work, and establish work schedules.
  • Plan daily labor requirements and ensure adherence to standards, policies, and productivity goals.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality in daily operations of your team.
  • Ensure daily operations comply with health and safety standards and loss prevention programs.
  • Manage and supervise a team of warehouse employees.
  • Promote safe handling practices for goods.
  • Take primary responsibility for the department's employees.
  • Ensure proper functioning of warehouse equipment.
  • Calculate productivity and analyze data.
  • Ensure compliance with deadlines.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in using computers and experience in warehouse management software
  • Minimum 1-2 years of warehouse-related experience.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, time management, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training is an asset.
