We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Warehouse Logistics Supervisor in Brampton ON.
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring warehouse and logistics operations in internally and externally, inventory, transportation, and supply chain processes. Supervise a team of warehouse staff and logistics specialists.
Responsibilities
·Complies with warehousing, material handling, and shipping laws and guidelines by studying existing and new legislations
·Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing programs
·Manage and maintains all internal logistics – chips, oil, material, tooling, etc.
·Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
·Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciles with data storage systems
·Managing, evaluating and reporting on warehouse productivity
·Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials
·Maintains the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing optimal design layouts
·Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing variances
·Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees
·Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
·Improve staff performance by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
·Manage inventory as well as warehouse, transportation, and other logistics processes
·Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce cost
·Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction, and financial commitments are met
·Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements; monitor and evaluate KPIs
·Negotiate contracts with carriers, suppliers and manufacturers
·Organize warehouse, label goods, plot routes, and process shipments
·Respond to issues or complaints
·Research ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers
·Working with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations
·Tracking the status of goods in real-time to ensure contracts are being fulfilled
·Plan and deliver solutions to any potential logistics problems while maintaining a high quality of service
Qualifications
·Minimum two years college diploma in supply chain management, operations, logistics, business administration, transportation, or engineering
·Proficient Key User for SAP Software Warehouse Management (WM) Module
·5+ years of experience working in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations
·Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles
·Strong team player
·Ability to manage, coach, and provide training for direct reports
·Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
·Working knowledge of logistics and inventory software
