POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to the President and CEO, the Vice President (Donor Engagement and Experience) will play a pivotal role in shaping and elevating the ROM Governors' brand. As a seasoned storyteller, this individual will harness their vast experience crafting integrated brand strategies, ensuring that the brand, which already enjoys significant reverence, achieves even greater awareness. They will helm the design and execution of high-impact fundraising campaigns and events while also overseeing donor engagement operations and digital philanthropy. Central to this role is adeptly utilizing data analytics to drive evidence-backed marketing decisions. As a top-tier leader, this Vice President will chart the donor journey, using their marketing acumen to optimize engagement, bolster donor loyalty, and adeptly employ online platforms to amplify philanthropic support in collaboration with other organizational leaders. Creativity, innovation, and a keen sense of marketing best practices will be paramount for success, with a key outcome being enhanced donor conversion and increased contributions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead the conceptualization and production of fundraising campaigns and events that amplify the organization's philanthropic efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President (Communications) and other leaders to leverage digital channels, including social media, email campaigns, and online donation platforms.
  • Utilize data analytics to inform and shape marketing decisions, ensuring they are evidence-based.
  • Employ a myriad of marketing tools to gauge donor motivation and satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement integrated brand strategies to boost the ROM Governors' brand awareness.
  • Craft innovative marketing strategies aimed at enhancing the donor journey.
  • Direct donor engagement operations, including e-philanthropy.
  • Drive initiatives that lead to higher donor conversion rates and increased contributions.
  • Regularly assess and evaluate the donor experience to drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay ahead of the curve regarding marketing trends, ensuring the organization benefits from the latest strategies and best practices.
  • Map and continually refine the donor journey, focusing on optimizing engagement and enhancing donor loyalty.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution, preferably in marketing, business administration, or another related field.
  • A reputation for being highly creative, a true innovator, and a compelling storyteller will ensure that the Vice President (Donor Engagement and Experience) adds value to portfolios across the organization and to ROM Governors.
  • Significant experience at the intersection of marketing and digital fundraising, ideally with direct experience in developing and marketing a successful digital giving program.
  • Several years working in progressively senior marketing and brand-building roles, preferably gained within a complex environment focused on or closely intersecting with philanthropy and major gift-giving.
  • Proven experience leveraging data analytics to identify new prospects and nurture donors, and a deep fluency around the use of social media and digital platforms, including how to monitor and track information appearing on social and digital systems.
  • Strong people leadership and relationship-building skills, with an ability to help people—across the organization and externally—see possibilities where they may initially see constraints.
