The opportunity

SkipTheDishes is looking for an exceptional UX Researcher to join our growing global UXR team to help drive the user experience of our products and services in Logistics. Tens of thousands of delivery drivers around the world use the Logistics team’s apps to deliver food - their positive experience is critical to a positive customer experience. Be part of a team that’s solving some of the company’s most critical user experience and business challenges globally.

We work in cross-functional teams made up of Designers, Researchers, Copywriters, Product Managers, Analysts and Engineers. The way we work is collaborative and fast-paced. We want to discover what our users will love as soon as we can. We like to explore problems in-depth and we like to speak with our users on a regular basis, to explore what we are working on and help us understand their needs.

As a UX Researcher, you will work on products used by thousands of users in over 10 countries, supporting their needs. You’ll be hungry for insights - keen to get stuck in and uncover our users' needs across the end to end experience, then using these insights to help shape the vision and strategy.

• You are an effective storyteller and communicator - and you love bringing research to life in your presentations and reports
• You are organised and proactive - and can work with and balance the needs of a number of different stakeholder teams
• You love advocating for users in product development, and telling their stories
• You care about advocating for accessible and inclusive solutions
• You want to use research to impact decision making - whether in design, product, or larger strategy
• You enjoy collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, Analysts and other stakeholders - and becoming a thought partner to them
• You are comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy tackling complex problems
• You’re passionate about digging deeper to understand the underlying needs and goals of our users

Ready to take on the role?

Here’s What We Need From You

• Ability to develop trusting, collaborative, and productive relationships with stakeholders - who look to you as a true partner
• Ability to speak and facilitate research in another language other than English is a bonus - although not essential (Chinese, Punjabi, are some examples)
• A growth-oriented outlook, with a desire to learn and improve both yourself and the people and teams around you
• Strong knowledge of different research methods and understanding when to apply one method over another
• Can synthesise learnings into clear, compelling stories that impact the people and work around you
• Skilled in turning (sometimes ambiguous) research needs into clear and compelling questions, activities, & outcomes
• The ability to develop creative and flexible research plans using effective qualitative and quantitative research methods
• 3+ years’ experience in UX Research roles - or equivalent experience
• A proactive, hands-on approach and ability to take ownership of the entire research process, from ideation through to playback, with a focus on working collaboratively
