Senior Ux/Ui Designer (Contract)

Our project teams work closely with client subject matter experts, end users and IT teams to deliver anything from proof-of-concept prototypes to bulletproof, long living, high volume production applications.

The Senior UX/UI Designer will be responsible for the vision, process, design strategy, and execution of projects, including mobile, consumer, and enterprise applications.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Defining and delivering design components (ex. wireframes, high-fidelity designs) while ensuring that project milestones and timelines are prioritized
• Creating artifacts such as user journeys, personas, user flow diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups that capture the project vision from the UX perspective
• Collaborating with design lead, product owners, business analysts, and business sponsors to gather and evaluate user requirements
• Actively receiving feedback from stakeholders, project team and users
• Presenting and articulating design choices and rationale to diverse audiences
• Championing accessibility and inclusivity in design, ensuring products meet WCAG 2.1+ Level A & AA web standards
• Iterating rapidly on design concepts derived from user research and data trends
• Conducting research and usability testing to gain a deep understanding of our users and their needs
• Collaborating closely with development teams and customers throughout the project lifecycle to ensure the feasibility of the design
• Leading the creation of designs from ideation to implementation

‘Must Have’ Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven client-facing, partnership and presentation skills
• Proven experience in design and implementation of UX/UI for consumer and enterprise applications across a variety of platforms
• Proven ability to successfully balance multiple projects and priorities
• Current in UX best practices and demonstrates enthusiasm for related technologies/trends
• Expertise with UX tools e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Suite
• 5+ years of experience in UX/UI Design

’Nice to Have’ Skills and Qualifications:

• Creative flair and solid understanding of composition, typography, print production, logo design and graphic design
• Exposure to and enthusiasm for Agile approaches to software development
• Experience in running and hosting UX Workshops
• Diverse outside interests
• Fluent and current in front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)
