Job Description

Our client in the Apparel sector is looking to hire a Treasury Analyst for an 18 month contractThe role will require working in office 3 days a week in their Toronto West office.


Duties:

  • Prepare monthly/quarterly cash and debt management reports
  • Prepare working papers and schedules to support the review audit of the Pension Financial Statements
  • Assist with project cash flow receipts and disbursements for the day and execute treasury settlements
  • Responsible for general insurance cost allocation, claims and premium payment
  • Assist with maintaining relationship with banks and payment processing companies to facilitate investigations where confirmation of information is required
  • Assist with cash forecasting modelling and cash forecasting activities related to planning
  • Reconcile bank and treasury related General Ledger accounts to identify errors, missing funds, and other related issues
  • Assist with budgeting related to yearly banking, insurance, and interest related expenses
  • Assist with the treasury's month end close process, (including preparing and inputting journal entries)
  • Assist with monthly intercompany debt payment to senior management
  • Calculate and track all loan interest and intercompany payments
  • Responsible for bank charges cost allocation and reconciliation


Qualifications:

  • Able to handle and manipulate large volume numeric data
  • 2 to 3 years of related experience
  • Strong technical knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Enrollment in a professional Accounting/Financial program
  • University or College Education preferably in accounting and finance
