Location: Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid)

About the opportunity:
The Transportation Senior Business Analyst is a key member of the National Transportation Team, responsible to support and ensure optimal network delivery in terms of transport cost and service. This role is responsible for analyzing T1 and T2 transportation processes and opportunities with the goal of meeting financial targets, as well as, enhancing operational productivity & performance.
The attributes we are looking for:
- Participate in budget development process by providing in-depth analysis and trends on selected areas of transport operations.
- Support the transportation operations team by designing operational KPI reports and dashboards.
- Provide cross functional support as required by performing duties such as gathering data from various systems, conducting analysis, and presenting results, solutions, and recommendations for improvements
- Optimize internal operations procedures by leading process improvement & re-engineering initiatives through process mapping, developing SOPs, automation, lean six sigma and value stream mapping methodologies.
- Provide project management support to coordinate project plans and monitor project implementations.
- Perform tactical routing optimization simulations and assess scenarios that generate efficiencies in the National Transportation network and reduce overall transportation costs.
- Develop transportation P&L’s for continuous improvement initiatives, new business scenarios or business expansions and monitor performance.
- Support RFP process planning through implementation
What you will bring:
- Initiative and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of routing software, TMS and Microsoft Map Point an asset.
- Experience in Project Management, Consulting, Financial Planning & Analysis, an asset.
- Collaborative team player.
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business or, equivalent in education and experience.
- Ability to participate in cross-functional teams.
- Tactical and innovative thinking.
- Results driven with a focus on creative solutions.
- Excellent analytic skills.
- Knowledge of Project Management fundamentals and Process Mapping.
- Experienced with data querying and working with large databases.
- Highly developed communication skills with ability to influence and negotiate.
- Bilingual (English and French) is an asset
