Job Description

Title: Trainer coordinator

Industry: Hospitality

Location: South Shore

Position Status: Full-time, permanent (Hired by the employer, not by Evlv)

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (Onsite)

Compensation and Benefits: $50,000-$65,000 + benefits and vacation


This position is only open to residents of Canada who have legal work authorization.

Technical Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of proven experience in a teaching/training role
  • Ability to develop and deliver programs for all levels of management and team members
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related/relevant discipline
  • Experience working with LMS and Performance Systems considered an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in both French and English
  • Deep knowledge of instructional design methodologies, performance strategies, processes and standards
  • Solid knowledge of the latest corporate training techniques


The responsibilities will include:


  • Partner with all departments to identify and address opportunities for improvement and best practices/strategies to address training & development needs.
  • Collect feedback and data to measure progress and effectiveness of training programs
  • Create and maintain e-learning/training programs that drive business outcomes for all lines of business to include gaming, hotel, F&B, and retail.
  • Ensures compliance by auditing training records regularly
  • Conduct inter-departmental needs assessment to determine training needs.
  • Work with the executive team to build a training program to coach and mentor our managers in leadership and management techniques.
  • Implement training course modules as assigned for team members and management, including presentation and facilitation of training programs and activities.
  • Administers mandatory exams and records results.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching techniques such as direct instruction, role playing, simulation, team exercise, group discussion, video or hands-on exercises.
  • Work within set training budgets.
  • Work with our external training providers to build meaningful, specific training programs (Guest Service Training, etc.)
  • Maintains accurate training records.
  • Develops training manuals, training procedures, and training course materials
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to adjust strategies as required to meet business needs
  • Oversee and direct workshops as well as individual training sessions.
  • Plan, build and implement an effective training curriculum for many departments within the company (develop content, build presentations, etc.)
