Job Description

CAD DESIGNER


We are looking for CAD designer responsible for translating conceptual ideas, sketches, or specifications into detailed and accurate digital representations by creating, modifying, and optimizing technical drawings, models, and designs.

This responsibility includes creating precise and detailed technical drawings and models using computer-aided design software. The CAD Designer/Drafter will work closely with engineers and other professionals to transform conceptual designs into practical solutions, this spans across all the Made by Gather brands as well as Private label brands.


RESPONSIBILITIES :


  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to design standards in all CAD drawings and models; working with the team to identify scope and eliminate need for multiple iterations; performing quality checks and reviews of CAD files to identify and resolve design issues or errors.
  • Stay updated with the latest CAD software tools and techniques to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Familiarity with user-centered design methodologies; ensuring final designs are photorealistic
  • Maintain organized documentation of design files, revisions, and related project materials; help maintain archives, libraries and file storage
  • Follow company standards, procedures, and best practices for CAD design and drafting.
  • Provide guidance and support during the manufacturing process to maintain design integrity by selecting appropriate materials, considering factors such as durability, cost, and sustainability.
  • Develop a mastery of the respective brand design languages
  • Modify and edit 2D and 3D CAD models, drawings, and layouts based on specifications, sketches, and design concepts; make necessary modifications to existing CAD designs as per project changes or client feedback
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to generate accurate/realistic digital models for product
  • Produce conceptual CAD and to support the industrial design ideation/illustration process
  • Collaborate with Product Management team, engineers, Marketing, manufacturers, and other stakeholders to refine design concepts (ie, logo placement, product design, and finishings) and produce items on time
  • Help provide feedback to improve and streamline processes, work-flow approvals and timelines within department
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion within budgetary constraints.


QUALIFICATIONS :


  • Extensive knowledge of design principles, manufacturing processes, and materials.
  • Bachelor's degree in product design, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Agility to be able to switch projects from production-ready focus to visionary work
  • 3-5 years overall experience working in design in kitchen appliances or related industry
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other design tools Strong conceptualization and visualization skills, including sketching and 3D modeling.
  • Adaptability to evolving design trends and technologies, staying up-to-date in industry technologies, innovations & trends
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to analyze and incorporate user feedback to improve designs.
  • Attention to detail and ability to fully grasp and implement brand guidelines
