Hiring: Technology Delivery Lead
Job Summary:
As a member of the ISI Information Management team, the Technology Delivery Lead works with a team of specialists to deliver technology solutions to our business partners and reports to the VP, Solutions.
The Technology Delivery Lead has the mandate to establish and maintain a relationship between IT and the relevant business partners and is a trusted advisor to the business units. The Technology Delivery Lead is responsible for understanding the business needs, assisting in the prioritization of projects, and the delivery those projects which have been approved. In addition, the Technology Delivery Lead will leverage relevant delivery frameworks to ensure the delivery of high-quality technology solutions with the earliest realization of business benefit.
Primary Duties or Responsibilities:
- Possess deep knowledge of technology platforms and related business processes.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting their professional growth and development.
- Manage the intake of business requests for enhancements and features, ensuring alignment with the roadmap and overall business strategy.
- Develop and foster strong relationships with key stakeholders including business partners, the Project Management Office (PMO), and the IT department.
- Communicate transparently with stakeholders regarding ongoing work, potential risks, and any obstacles encountered, maintaining open lines of communication at all levels.
- Ensure that initiatives and projects adhere to their agreed scope and timelines, and initiate project change management processes when necessary.
- Collaborate closely with the business to develop a comprehensive roadmap for initiatives that will translate into projects, enhancements, and fixes.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring clarity and alignment of project requirements and objectives.
- Ensure the execution of work aligns with business objectives, delivering the intended value at the appropriate times.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and knowledge sharing within the technology delivery team.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation by staying abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
- Maintain a holistic understanding of the needs of the business, enabling informed decision-making by the business in terms of prioritization.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the technical impacts of initiatives, enabling efficient delivery based on dependencies, whether technical or process related.
Qualifications:
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master) are desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget.
- Solid understanding of technology trends, emerging tools, and best practices in areas such as cloud computing, data analytics, and cybersecurity.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate through challenges and provide innovative solutions.
- Proven experience (minimum 8-10 years) in technology project management, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, as well as collaboration platforms.
- 5+ years of experience championing organizational change, e.g., leading initiatives, products, services, or interactions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
