Job Description

We are looking to employ a driven and detail-oriented Tech Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for the internal IT requirements at Common Good Solutions as well as supporting our learning platform Common Good Online. The Tech lead will also be responsible for providing technology-based solutions for clients who are looking to build their capacity in data, evaluation, and data visualization.


Tech Lead’s Responsibilities:

-Develop and implement technology strategies and plans to support the organization's mission and goals while supporting our strategic growth and capacity.

-Lead technical teams in the design, development, and implementation of technology-based solutions for clients.

-Support the technology-based needs of staff as we lean into a hybrid work environment

-Stay current with new and emerging technologies, and provide recommendations for their application to support the firm's goals.

-Manage the user experience on our online learning platforms and provide tech support to learners

-Explore new technologies that will support enhanced data and evaluation for clients, while setting up and using data visualization tools

-Collaborate with other teams and departments to identify technology-based solutions for clients, and assist in their implementation.

-Manage technology-related projects, including project planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management.

-Provide technical support and troubleshoot technology issues for clients and internal teams and in our office space.

-Ensure technology systems and solutions meet required security and privacy standards.

-Develop and maintain relationships with technology vendors and partners.

-Contribute to the continuous improvement of the firm's technology processes and practices.


Requirements:

-As this is a government-funded position, the candidate must be:

A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act

-Enrolled in a program at a Canadian accredited post-secondary institution, during the work placement period.

-The student is legally entitled to work in Canada.

-Experience and interest in streamlining and implementing technology-based solutions in the workplace and online learning environments

-Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications

-Demonstrate a high level of skills in managing G-Suite

-Experience supporting staff teams with technology needs

-The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet targets

-Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills with a solutions mindset

-Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to implementing tech solutions

-Demonstrated abilities in data analysis, evaluation, and data visualization for impact reporting (experience with Tableau, Microsoft BI, or any other data visualization tool)

-Graphic design experience is considered an asset

-Commitment to social responsibility and impact in communities

-Details-oriented


Compensation and Benefits:

-Six-month contract with the possibility of extension

-$23.50/hr hour
