TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

• Proficiency with group policies, powershell, DNS and DHCP would be an asset
• Strong experience in hardware & network management
• Familiarity with elastic search
• Familiarity with email management systems
• Degree/Diploma in IT, computer science, or engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• FTP and bash scripting would be good to know
• Ability to maintain and troubleshoot VPN clients, troubleshooting issues to remote staff
• Experience with any of the following: firewalls, vlans, VPN configuration, Virtualization, cisco command line, NAS/SAN, and PDQ Software
• Linux command line experience
• Experience using active directory

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise.
• Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
• Configure and maintain the networked computer system, including hardware, system software, and applications.
• Maintain all IT facilities on site including switch cabinets and server rooms.
• Administer networks and infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes.
• Manage the configuration and operation of computer operating systems
• Monitor system logs and metrics and respond immediately to security or usability issues
• Participate in the development of technical documents.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot peripheral equipment (printers, scanners, etc.)
• Upgrade IT systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
• Create, verify and maintain regular backups of data.
• Replace and upgrade defective or outdated components when necessary.
• Attend to IT Tickets in timely and effective manner and maintain effective updates on the task ticketing tracking platform.
• Install, configure, update and maintain the Windows desktop environment.
