We seek a motivated, Level 2/3 Network Specialist. The successful candidate will become part of our network and help desk team, providing remote and some on-site support, while using our automated tools to monitor the health and functionality of client environments. This full-time position has extensive opportunity for further training and promotion within our company. We are looking for a candidate that is excited about working in a progressive environment where their input is considered valuable.

Responsibilities:

• Available for after-hour/weekend on-call support
• Configure new equipment including firewalls, servers, APs, networking, computers, switches, etc.
• Participate in team meetings by reporting status of tasks, quarterly initiatives, metrics, and helping identify and resolve service delivery and customer issues.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support for client issues while meeting customer service and response time (SLA) objectives
• Your feedback and ideas are a key element of your involvement in our team, where all staff play an integral role in shaping customer service and deliverables.
• Familiarity with backup technology locally and in the Cloud.
• Onboard new clients
• Create and document internal processes and procedures and follow existing processes and guidelines for routine tasks.

Technical Requirements:

4+ years' experience with:

• MFA.
• Microsoft Windows 10.
• Windows system applications, working with client 3rd party applications, and extensive confidence with debugging critical issues.
• Familiarity with varied networking hardware: switches, APs, firewalls (experience and/or certification for SonicWALL, Fortinet, or Cisco Meraki is a plus.)
• VMware ESXi deployment, maintenance, and debugging are a plus.
• Exposure to Apple products and the ability to deploy and install supported products.
• Remote access and support tools.
• Microsoft 365 management tools.
• Exposure and/or knowledge of current cyber solutions and technologies
• Microsoft Windows Server (all supported versions).

Skills and Certifications Tenecom prefers, but not limited to:

• Cyber and security best practices
• Windows 10, 11
• Network appliances, firewalls, switches, wireless
• A+ Certification
• Windows Server (supported versions)
• MCSE
• VMware (V7.x)

Competencies:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Access to a vehicle and a valid Ontario driver’s license.
• Ability to relay technical concepts and issues to non-technical individuals.
• Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check.
• Self-motivated and self-directed with ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
• Ability to admit when you do not know the answer and demonstrate the desire to investigate.
