Job Description
At Augmenta, we create software for the construction industry that fully automates the design of buildings - completely transforming the industry and empowering architects, engineers, contractors and developers. We’re a global team, headquartered in Toronto, Canada with a team of brilliant, kind and collaborative scientists, engineers and designers. We are spread across Canada, the US, and Italy, making our workplace a remote-first and distributed environment.


We’ve already built and delivered incredible software, and now we need your help to develop our first product and deliver it to market.


The role


We’re looking for a Technical Product Manager to join our team at Augmenta. You will work closely with product leadership and the development teams to define and execute on the product backlog, as well as support the go to market activities of our first product. You’ll help guide the engineering team to deliver a compelling product, and interact first hand with early adopter customers to ensure it addresses their problems. This role reports to the Director of Product.


What you will do


  • Distill and organize market feedback directly from customers and from business development channels to input into roadmap planning activities
  • Drive the planning and execution of new product development and product enhancements
  • Represent the development teams to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure the development teams are aligned with the product roadmap, business priorities, and are delivering value with each iteration
  • Work with product designers and technical leads to translate business and customer requirements into detailed software implementation backlogs. You will own the prioritized backlog
About You


  • You have experience working in full stack development contexts and are familiar with developing and delivering user facing, cloud based solutions
  • You have a demonstrated ability to create impact and be influential without direct authority
  • You can navigate ambiguity and make high quality, pragmatic decisions to keep things moving forward
  • 3+ years of software development experience in a leadership role, overseeing development of major features from ideation to delivery
  • You enjoy interfacing with multi-disciplinary stakeholders - executives, engineers, and customers. You have the ability to communicate complex technical details coherently to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Experience working in an agile software development environment

  • Experience working with or designing for Autodesk Revit or and other 3D Modeling Environments
  • Exposure to the Architecture, Engineering and Construction industry

  • This means that we often collaborate asynchronously via Slack and Video Conferencing
  • Our team is remote-first however all employees must be legally entitled to work in Canada and be located in Canada. At this time we do not offer sponsorship
