Wayne Gretzky Estates Winery and Distillery is part of the APL family, located in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake wine country. Please note - In this role you are not serving food in the restaurant patio - this role is strictly serving wine tastings and supporting events and functions. If you are looking for front of house serving role in our outdoor restaurant, please apply to RESTAURANT SERVER position instead.

Sound like you?

• An understanding of restaurant service or prior experience as host is an asset
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to multi-task
• An understanding of how to provide best-in-class service for guests
• A passion for working with the public and/or are interested in learning about wine, hospitality, travel and tourism.
• Excited at opportunity to LEARN + SHARE wine and viticultural knowledge
• A "Can Do" attitude and enjoy working in a busy seated tasting environment (restaurant serving experience an asset)

• Drive for higher sales and encouraging guests to become Wine Club members
• Manage customer inquiries in a positive, professional, and enthusiastic manner
• Working well with service support staff, hosts, guest relations
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
• Sharing knowledge in a fun and engaging way
• Greeting guests in a friendly manner
• Supporting on-site events and in-store promotions
• Being a Wine Educator (don't worry we train you!) and brand ambassador
• Creating memorable guest experiences by providing information about our premium wines and/or leading tastings and experiences
• Communicating well with management team
