Associate Lawyer (Litigator And/Or Solicitor)

We are hiring an associate lawyer(s) (LL.B. or J.D.) with at least one year of practicing experience to join us in serving an established client base in and around scenic Owen Sound, Ontario. These positions will be of interest to lawyers wishing to continue or develop a litigation practice and/or a solicitor's practice concentrating in real estate/corporate/commercial law.

These positions offer an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who wishes to practice in a small southwestern Ontario city with a professional staff and collegial bar. Owen Sound is located on the shores of Georgian Bay and offers an excellent four-season recreational lifestyle. Living outside the Greater Toronto Area offers affordable urban or rural accommodation, with the convenience of only a 2 hour drive to the Pearson International Airport. Living in Owen Sound provides the benefit of being able to walk/bike to work or to commute by vehicle in a few minutes.

We serve individuals, corporations and municipalities, primarily in Grey, Bruce and Simcoe Counties. As a full-service law firm, we carry on practice in civil/family litigation, real estate, wills/estates, municipal law, labour/employment and business law. Our firm does not presently carry on practice in the fields of criminal law or personal injury law but we are open to a candidate continuing or developing a practice in either of those areas.

The successful candidate(s) would be supported by experienced and professional support staff. Our computer system offers the opportunity to occasionally work from home, if desired.
