SUMMARY
The position is responsible for coordinating and administering human resources activities relating to talent acquisition activities. The Talent Acquisition Assistant plays an important role in creating an exceptional candidate experience by providing strong administrative support throughout the hiring process. Please note, this is a 18-month contract position.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Creates a positive candidate experience by delivering excellent customer service in all interactions.
• Coordinates and administers recruitment activities including requisition file management, application screening, testing and interview document preparation and employment reference check scheduling.
• Support the hiring process with screening and scheduling interviews.
• Assist in organizing participation for various recruiting events, including communication with employment agencies, educational institutes, and community hiring partners.
• Make determinations and/or recommendations using established legislation, regulations, policies, and guidelines.
• Seeks guidance on unusual matters and escalates files when matters are outside established criteria or where issues are contentious.
• Produces a variety of written material including correspondence, data spreadsheets, and presentations.
• Proofreads, types, and/or formats correspondence, documents, and/or reports.
• Provides administrative support that includes document management, program reporting, scheduling meetings and identifying service improvements.
• Contributes to the team’s development of internal work practices (e.g., policies, procedures and tools).
• Provides orientation and training to internal and/or external stakeholders within area of responsibility.
• Contributes to, participates in, and supports organizational business transformation initiatives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Secondary School graduation or equivalent.
• Certification program and/or recent coursework in human resources (preferred).
• 1-2 years recruitment or administrative experience is (preferred).
• Knowledge of core human resource processes (preferred)
• Experience in a high-volume environment with numerous competing priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, data management and analysis skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Intermediate skills in Office365, SharePoint and HR SAAS solutions.
• Previous experience using an Applicant Tracking System an asset.
• Working towards diploma in Human Resources. Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management is an asset.
