Job Description
Teatro Group is seeking motivated business students to join our Human Resources teams, including:


STUDENT INTERNSHIP/ SUMMER OPPORTUNITY: 2 or 3-month terms, starting April 2023. 1 position is available.


  • Entire lifecycle recruiting for all hourly, and some salaried vacancies, in collaboration with the HR Director and hiring managers.
  • Coordinate phone screens with selected candidates, making recommendations on who to interview.
  • Assisting the HR Director in developing and updating document control for the HR department (procedures, job descriptions, performance evaluation, and other document templates)
  • Assisting in supervising the administration and maintenance of payroll and employee benefit programs.
  • Ensures compliance with all Labour Laws and Health and Safety regulations.
  • Uploading/updating tech set information to the Push system for new hires or current employees.
  • Pre-screen resumes and make recommendations to hiring managers.
  • General administration duties include filing, receiving and delivering mail couriers.
  • Posting of jobs for both salaried and hourly positions. Regular updating of the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Ensures compliance with all legislative requirements (federal and provincial).
  • Assisting the HR Director with filing employee personnel documents/records.
  • Support and coach Hiring Managers through the Hourly Hiring process.
  • Updating HR employee trackers and records when new hires are onboarded or employee information changes (i.e. wage increases, title changes, performance evaluation dates)
  • Manage a high volume of jobs to post, refresh and sponsor to ensure hiring managers receive qualified candidates on time.


Minimum Qualifications


  • You must be legally entitled to work in Canada by way of Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or a valid work permit
  • Must be within a Bachelor of Business or Commerce program majoring/specializing in Human Resources
  • Must demonstrate a high level of discretion in dealing with sensitive matters and maintain the confidentiality of information and documents
