Human Resources Assistant Jobs

We are assisting a client in Edmonton with their Human Resources Assistant role. This is a temporary FT hybrid role for 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-screen, coordinate interviews, orientations and complete new hire paperwork
• Maintain organized and up-to-date digital and electronic employee records and meet all employment requirements
• Provide administrative support to the HR team including filing documents, preparing letters, scheduling meetings and memos, and sending emails.
• Ensure departments receive proper information on new hires to process payroll, benefits, etc.
• Respond to internal and external HR-related inquiries and provide assistance as needed
• Maintain job postings, refresh and sponsor to ensure hiring managers are receiving qualified candidates in a timely manner
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and roll out of HR programs and services

Qualifications

• Strong computer literacy including effective working skills with Microsoft Suite,
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Working towards, or interest in obtaining a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) designation is an asset
• Post-secondary education (or currently enrolled) with a focus in Human Resources, or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office software
• Strong administration skills and attention to detail
• Solid verbal and written communication skills, including ability to build strong working relationships with various levels of stakeholders
