Baker Tilly RSG LLP is currently looking for a Staff Accountant for a full-time permanent position to join our team in our Cold Lake office.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Development and maintenance of client relationships
• Assistance with and preparation of personal income tax, T4, WCB and T5 returns
• Assistance with compilation and review engagements, including preparation of adjusting journal entries, financial statements and corporation income tax returns

A successful candidate will have:

• Enrollment or completion of a recognized professional Accounting Designation is an asset
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience with any of Caseware, TaxPrep, Doc-it, QBO, Xero and/or Microsoft Suite is an asset
• Accomplished in multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks to meet multiple deadlines with adaptability to changing priorities
• Completion of a post-secondary bookkeeping certificate or accounting diploma or degree required
• Completion of basic Canadian Income Tax preparation course(s) or experience in Canadian income tax preparation required
• Ability to make decisions and problem solve independently within the scope of the position
