Operations Accountant Jobs

Based in East Edmonton, a large Manufacturing organization is seeking an Operations Accountant Reporting to the Operations Controller, the successful candidate will be the primary Accountant for the Edmonton branch. This Accountant will be participating in Month end, preparing various reports such as - labour & cash flow, payroll analysis, fixed asset calculations, account reconciliations, and supporting external audits. There will be occasional travel to sites within 100km of Edmonton - access to a vehicle will be required
Location - East Edmonton, current local presence is required
100% Office based until training is complete - after which a hybrid environment is available, 3 days a week on site

Responsibilities

• Supporting external Audit
• Full cycle Accounting - up to trial balance
• Quarterly Site visits to work closely with Plant/Production Managers - inventory tracking
• Fixed Asset calculations, depreciations, journal entries
• Account reconciliations, bank reqs, discrepancies

Qualifications

• Inventory reconciliation
• ERP system experience - such as SAP, Dynamics, or JD Edwards
• Power BI experience is considered an asset
• Preference for Manufacturing or Production industry experience
• 3+ years of full cycle Accounting - including month-end completion
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Business administration
