Senior Vendor Management Lead (It/Technology Services)

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Vendor Management Lead (IT/Technology Services) for a permanent position with its Ottawa/Toronto-based customer.

Work Location

The successful candidate will work in a hybrid (onsite and remote) work arrangement. Candidates can be located in either the GTA or Greater Ottawa Area. The customer will be very flexible with respect to the requirement to be onsite. It would be on an as required basis for critical team meetings.

Security Requirement

It is not mandatory but preferred if candidates are eligible for Enhanced/Secret Level II Security Clearance.

Key Tasks

• Act as the subject matter expert in vendor portfolio management and is responsible for managing a portfolio of Tier one Vendors while ensuring the VM processes and procedures are adhered to within the vendor portfolio
• Ensure business and vendor needs are identified, analyzed, and addressed in a timely manner to the satisfaction of the Manager, Vendor Management and the corresponding relationship
• Lead the management of the assigned vendor portfolio in support and collaboration with the Vendor Management stakeholder team assigned to the portfolio
• Participate in business and vendor relationships and provide Vendor Management support
• Work as the key contact and conduit within the organization for business owners and the vendor

Key Qualifications

• Experience in an IT Infrastructure/IT Operations Management role responsible for the strategic relationship with 3rd party IT Service providers
• Strong knowledge and background in IT/technology such as Software Development, IT Service Management, Cloud Infrastructure etc.
• Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in Vendor Management, Service Management or Contracts Management (focus on IT/Technology vendor management) and demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong business relationships with vendors, business owners, and stakeholders at various levels of management, including the Director level

Qualifications

• Ability to define and execute Vendor Management/or Service Management processes and procedures
• Experience with the reporting and creation of Vendor dashboards
• Proven experience in following and contributing to a vendor management program with a defined framework supporting a full vendor lifecycle
• Proven experience in leading and/or participating in contract negotiations and vendor onboarding as well as; resolving escalated vendor performance issues
• Experience building and maintaining strong business relationships with vendors, business owners, and stakeholders at various levels of management, including the director level
• Experience with Agile & or Lean IT methodologies

Assets

• Experience in executing Project Management best practices is considered an asset
