Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Production Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for directing, maintaining and optimizing the production process of products, as well as ensuring the application of certification standards, while working with different departments.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Lead team of 2 employees with responsibility for production engineering tasks including:

• Provide technical expertise for all questions from Sales, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams as well as external suppliers
• Work with designers and drafters to ensure all product development is production ready.

Manage Bill of Materials & challenges on production floor

• Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) such as workload, resources and quality.
• Understanding of safety certification norms and agencies like ETL, UL or CSA for mechanical and electrical products
• Review and correct existing active BOMs
• Implement quality improvement measures & best practices for manufacturing / production design / engineering problems.

Custom Product Design & Product updates

• Reviews and Approves designs and final drawings for production with Management team.
• Create BOMs, Drawing & 3D Modeling in ERP system.
• Work within existing Design and Development process to improve/modify existing products and create custom products according to customer requests.

Experience (minimum Experience Required)
Requirements :

• ERP software experience
• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design or equivalent field experience
• Experience with LED & lighting with a strong understanding of the architectural products. (asset)
• Manufacturing experience with Die-Casting, Metal Spinning, Extrusions, sheet-metal and plastic
• Understanding of international & local sourcing challenges for a similar product category
• SolidWorks (Modeling, configurations, and drawings) or similar, Excel & MS Office, AutoCAD
• Proficiency in both English and French - spoken and written
• Minimum 2 years experience of Supervisory Experience
