Mechanical Design Technician, E-Mobility Products

We are looking for a Mechanical Designer with a focus on various product systems, who will report to the Project Manager, and who’ll be tasked to ensure the development of components of mechanical design for vehicle systems according to their requirements. The position will be critical to ensure system functionality, performance, on-time delivery and cost efficiency with the highest level of quality. As part of your role, you’ll be significantly contributing to the development of innovative engineering solutions and the delivery of market shaping products.
Beyond the development of market-shaping products, you will belong with a passionate and talented team riding together in this new group at BRP to drive innovative mobility solutions.

You’ll Have The Opportunity To

• Support the development process at each phase including problem solving to meet fit/form and performance target on time.
• Take on BOM (Bill of Material) management according to the system release phase.
• Develop engineering solutions, including CAD modeling for vehicle engineering systems which meet vehicle and system requirements.
• Perform design work that will respect GD&T tolerancing target, manufacturing process capabilities and systems interface.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers, buyers and manufacturing experts to define the best solutions.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

• Technical or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Experienced with 3D modeling and mechanical design in integrated vehicle system components.
• Experienced with GD&T standards and norms.
• Organized and rigorous with good leadership.
• Knowledge of PLM Teamcenter as well as Catia V5 and Solidwork which include BOM management.
• Bilingualism is an asset.
