Summary
Reporting directly to the VP, Small & Medium Business Marketing, the Senior Manager, Business Intelligence will be working closely with a number of internal partners, including sales, marketing, Data Engineering, and our partner BI teams in BBM and Consumer Marketing. This role will be responsible for driving the medium BI strategic roadmap, establishing governance across BI requests, and driving best in class practices within BI.
This position calls for a flexible, business-minded individual who is focused on results as well as customer experience while driving change armed with strong critical thinking skills. To this end, you must be capable and comfortable challenging the status quo, while working effectively in a collaborative manner with all business units and levels. This leader will need to ensure the team of Data Scientists are focused on the most important business priorities for the Medium Sales and Marketing organizations, and that we are communicating these priorities and deliverables effectively with all stakeholders. Strong leadership abilities must have been demonstrated in prior roles.
Key Responsibilities

• Providing crisp and concise schedules and status updates to key stakeholders is a critical part of this role. Rapid and thorough identification of risks and risk management approaches is necessary to ensure deliverables and milestones stay on schedule.
• Post-mortem & Ad-hoc analysis
• New project ideation
• Act as the center hub and go-to lead for all Medium/Commercial BI related functions including:
• Lead a team of analyst professionals that who support the Medium/ Commercial business across wireless and wireline. These analysts are accountable for end-to-end BI support for the sales and marketing functions including customer and prospect identification, direct marketing campaign management, and reporting and analytics.
• Project implementation
• Collaborate on cross-functional program implementation with the Consumer/Small Business team, the Enterprise BI team, and the BCE Data Engineering team. Shared programs include the BBM Customer 360 roadmap, data integration/ monetization projects, and targeted sales and loyalty programs.
• Marketing & targeting campaigns

Critical Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of data marts and data design/architecture concepts.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, particularly in the area of customer and competitor/industry analysis, with an ability to extract strategic themes and quickly draw meaningful conclusions
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in BI, IT, CS, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics and/or related fields
• Structured and proactive with the need to quickly execute in an agile development environment.
• Passion for uncovering business needs, identifying opportunities, and aligning efforts to ensure timely implementation
• Solid understanding of the BI lifecycle including the design, development, QA, maintenance, and support stages.
• Resourceful, autonomous, disciplined self-starter, with the ability to work independently and as part of an extended team
• Ability to lead BI professionals and instill in them a performance orientation, a sense of shared purpose and the collective skill sets needed to deliver business goals.
• 5+ years of experience in the data management discipline covering the data development, reporting, and analytics space.
• Project management orientation to lead short and long-term BI projects into fruition.
• Effective communicator with facilitation and conflict resolution skills and an ability to lead a group of diverse stakeholders through decision-making processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in technology companies and/or telecom networks is a strong asset
• Ability to develop viable financial business cases
• Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
• Advanced Excel modelling skills
