Senior Director Of Product

This is the opportunity to join a team with a clear product vision and strategy, but that is still in its early stages with scope to influence product development. You will drive innovation and execution, and lead product development for specific products from beginning to end.

Core Skills and Experience include:

·Previous work experience as a Product Owner for several years.

·A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar relevant field.

·A passion for bringing ecommerce products to life, from ideation through to release.

·Experience in building products in the payments or gift cards space a big plus.

·Ability to develop the product vision and requirements with internal and external stakeholders.

·Excellent understanding of SDLC, software architecture, and modern product methodologies gained from countless product releases.

·Experience working in a Lean and Agile environment.

·Experience documenting user requirements and converting them into User stories in Jira, Trello, or a similar tool.

·Strong history of working with business owners and developers, in a remote setting.

·Experience working with internal teams and external customers in defining product related KPIs and processes for their measurement.

·Exceptional presentation and communication skills.

·Comfortable interacting with senior level customers.

Key Roles and Responsibilities include:

·Define product functionality and priorities in conjunction with the business and technology teams.

·Act as the SME for the development teams; answer product functionality questions, manage the product backlog and assume end-to-end ownership of product enhancements.

·Research and understand market trends, engage in competitive analysis to drive product strategy and development.

·Collaborate with the business to design intuitive user interfaces across multiple platforms.

·Support the sales and marketing team during product demos to potential brand partners.

Reporting to the President, you will work with the existing product team to drive forward all aspects of product management and the product life cycle, including customer-focused product design, customer experience, product features and external partnerships to build market leading products and ensure our products deliver and maintain a sustainable competitive advantage for Birchmount and its partners.

Ideally, you are part product owner, part business analyst, and part quality assurance manager. This is not a hands-on technical role but does require strong technical aptitude as you will be working closely with our development team and our existing business team to help define product strategy and ensure the roadmap is executed efficiently and to the satisfaction of our partners and the end consumers.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent.

Salary: Commensurate with experience.

Work Location: Remote. However, candidates must live in Canada or USA and be authorized to work here.
