As a member of the Compliance Team, the Senior Compliance Analyst supports and contributes to different aspects of the global compliance program, ranging from regulatory controls testing, marketing collateral reviews, employee registrations, coordinating requests from regulators, client due diligence requests and monitoring employee adherence to the code of conduct, to ensure that the company honours its regulatory obligations.


What will your main responsibilities be?


By assuming this position you will have the opportunity to:


  • Assist the team with employee registrations
  • Collaborate in updating the compliance manual and related policies.
  • Participate in the audit & testing of global controls related to regulatory compliance obligations.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the compliance regulations, policies and procedures of the company and its affiliates, and stay current with best practices in the industry.
  • Review and provide effective challenge for Canadian marketing collateral and social media posts to ensure they are in line with internal policies and regulatory expectations.
  • Assist the team with monitoring various employee activities, including personal trading, for compliance with the global code of conduct as well as various tasks and projects as assigned.
  • Respond to requests from clients and business partners, as well as requests for due diligence related to the regulatory compliance control framework.


What will you need to be successful in this role:


  • Three years or more of experience in a compliance function with a global asset manager;
  • Ability to work independently and interact effectively with others;
  • Ability to exercise diligence, diplomacy and discretion when dealing with confidential information;
  • Knowledge of regulatory controls and testing methodologies pertaining to asset managers;
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage simultaneous priorities;
  • Experience with conducting compliance reviews of marketing materials and social media postings;
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (finance, business administration, accounting, etc.);
  • Experience overseeing employee personal trading and other code of conduct matters;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Understanding of the regulatory framework and industry best practices for asset managers;
  • Bilingual (English and French) considered an asset but not required.
  • Experience with completing and coordinating client due diligence questionnaires and RFPs;
  • Experience working with employee registrations
