We're partnered with a leader in retail merchandising solutions who is seeking to add a impactful strategist and leader to their commercial team. This is a net-new role designed to optimize their commercial function to scale and grow, with the largest market opportunities through Ontario and Eastern Canada, as well as incremental opportunities to grow the business in the US.
The Sales and Marketing Manager will work primarily out of the Vaughan/Concord head office and be the lead building and refining a go-to-market strategy around the merchandising systems portfolio. This individual will lead efforts to position the company for growth, in terms of channel development, product development, overall strategy, and go-to-market execution.
Opportunities For Impact:
- Identifying and securing new customer business through concerted and consistent efforts to build relationships with merchandising decision makers in grocery and retail.
- Working closely with the leadership team to develop an effective go-to-market strategy for growth, by identifying the target audience, incorporating product market fit and positioning, and building pricing strategies, sales enablement, marketing tactics, and partnership development.
- Manage the company’s content channels - website and social media – as well as exploring and developing an e-commerce strategy
- Develop a comprehensive sales program including all services and pricing.
- Leading the development and implementation of Sales and Marketing materials to support the promotion of their portfolio
About You:
- Experience in trade marketing in CPG/FMCG or other adjacent industries
- Ambition (and measurable success) in a sales capacity, preferably in a b2b sales environment
- An understanding and passion for merchandising, planograms, and the importance of a strong merchandising program.
- 5+ years of experience in B2B business development and sales is going to be ideal, particularly with a company that sells fixed-cost solutions into retail customers (merchandising, security, business supplies and equipment, and so on)
- An understanding of how large consumer goods companies and grocery stores / retailers manage their store experience and make merchandising-related decisions
