Summary
The sales Manager is responsible for formulating robust sales strategies and developing an effective and dynamic sales team and structure on which to execute the plan for today's ever-changing marketplace
Key Activities
- Encourages successful account management
- Rewards growth and margin improvement
- Highly active at the account level, RFQ responses, contract management & costing/pricing
- Participating in Business Reviews
- Monitors sales compensation and incentive programs to ensure alignment with goals and objectives
- Being a recognized Subject Matter Expert in commercial print and specialty packaging
- Establishing levels of autonomy
- Manages assigned mid-sized accounts
- Your involvement in accounts
- Creating an up-tempo “selling” organization focused on Margin vs. Volume
- Prepares annual sales budget and targets
- Answers customer inquiries/conflicts
- Formulating overall Sales strategies and tactics
- Setting clear expectations
- Manages overall customer and prospect database
- Identifies objectives, strategies, and action plans to improve short and long-term sales and earnings
- Organizes and conducts quarterly meetings with the sales team
- Manages pricing strategy on all businesses for consistency and alignment with objectives
- What you would like to know about
- Works with the Management team to coordinate Business Development & Product
- Understanding and assistance in carrying out the mandate and strategy of commercial print and specialty packaging
- Assisting with planning, organizing, hiring, and coaching the sales team
- Establishes and/or maintains contact with key accounts
- Defining measurable expectations of Account Managers and evaluating performance against expectations
- Products and Sales skills
- Managing the sales activity in the local region while carrying out the “In the Best Interest of the Company” mandate
- Building an energized, focused sales team
- Accompanies Account Managers on joint sales calls
Preferred Skills
- Outstanding leadership abilities to set direction and lead the team, while being a hands-on manager
- Proficient with current business software including but not limited to, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and high levels of initiative
Educations & Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of sales experience in Paper packaging
- Bachelor's degree in business, Operations Management or equivalent work field, preferred OR High School Diploma or GED equivalent
