Description

We are looking for a Software Developer Co-op/Intern who has experience in Ruby on Rails and loves to build and deliver amazing products. You will be involved in working with a highly effective, remote development team, working on the Riipen platform and all of its services.

This internship will take place from September 5, 2023 to December 15, 2023.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with product, UX/UI and development teams to collect software requirements and to update test cases
• Keep up on the latest industry trends in testing tools and strategies
• Make use of Ruby, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web-related programming languages and frameworks
• Write efficient and maintainable code

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree, or certificate in Computer Science, Software Development, Software Engineering or related.
• You understand the importance of quality over quantity in software
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
• You enjoy working in small, remote teams
• Exposure to standard Rails ecosystem libraries such as RSpec, Simple Form, CanCanCan, Capybara, FactoryBot, etc, or any equivalent libraries.
• Experience with CSS and JS libraries such as TailwindCSS, TurboJS, StimulusJS, ReactJS, or equivalent libraries.
• You are friendly, smart, and easy to work with;
• You have the ability to prioritize and self-manage (key skills when working remotely!)
