Purpose


We are currently looking for a Remuneration/Compensation Specialist, Project Resources to join our Global Remuneration team. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work from home and will be based in either Canada, the US, or the United Kingdom.


Reporting to and liaising closely with to the Global Remuneration Director, the individual in this role will be a key contributor to the transformation of the global Remuneration/Compensation function. We aim to create great employee experiences and provide managers with the tools they need to make good pay decisions. This is a unique opportunity to project manage global Rem/Comp projects on a global scale while working in partnership with Rem/Comp leaders who support internal clients, and also interface with internal clients by supporting Rem/Comp processes.


The role supports the effective execution of remuneration strategy, through systems, data and process. It will work closely with subject matter experts in the remuneration and broader people team, including those who manage our remuneration systems and global people data.


Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with the global remuneration and the broader People team to understand business challenges and bring solutions to coordinate remuneration projects
  • Collaborate with the Remuneration/Compensation Systems Manager role and People Digital team to align requirements between systems and processes/tools
  • Gather input from multiple stakeholders to design future experiences, processes and business requirements; this includes analysis of data and documentation, as well as facilitating stakeholder workshops
  • Coordinate the implementation of projects including pay reviews and other global remuneration/compensation projects involving complex interfaces across multiple locations and time zones in a matrixed organization model from end to end. Project coordination includes implementation of new processes, systems including global Rem systems, and tools to support managers and the transition of Rem/Comp activities to a new operating model with shared services
  • Appropriately identify and direct risks which may impact program delivery and ensures mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary
  • Risk management and project tracking with a focus on guiding these projects through implementation
  • Project management of large global remuneration projects is the primary focus, such as: implementing pay review and associated processes, pay dashboards, pay tracking and reporting tools, pay equity programs and implementing a shared services operating model (longer term).
  • Ensure any unique contractual and legislative obligations are fulfilled as required in countries
  • Support fit-for-purpose communications and change management and considers the experience of the user/impact on the “client”
  • Support internal client groups using Rem expertise and processes
  • Coordinate the review, design and documentation of global employee and manager experiences, Rem/Comp processes, standards and tools to support our global operating model


What You Will Bring


Technical and Industry Experience:


  • Experience working in a matrixed, global organization and dynamic environments, with the ability to navigate effectively as conditions evolve and change
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships using effective collaboration, stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
  • Experience coordinating remuneration and systems projects and able to coordinate project work supporting these functions
  • Experience in agile management techniques that incorporate continuous feedback, refining and improvement through collaboration is desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail and willing to work at both a granular level and a higher project oversight level
  • Able to represent Rem/Comp processes to internal clients and guide them appropriately
  • Strong data, analytic and excel skills, with a good understanding of remuneration/compensation principles and processes gained through experience working directly with remuneration/compensation teams
  • Experience using human centered design approaches to design employee experiences is desirable to consider impacts
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with a good understanding of change management principles
  • A desire to project manage remuneration/compensation projects globally and provide the oversight and guidance to the People/HR team and Rem/Comp experts who are supporting local People/HR teams
  • A proven track record in successful project coordination and delivering large scale projects in remuneration/compensation


Required


Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:


  • Project Management certificate is an asset but not required
  • Degree in either Finance or Human Resources
