Summary:

The Project Engineer supports all facets of the Engineering activities for the Company. The position reports to the Engineering Supervisor - Products and is based primarily in the Calgary corporate office but may require travel to field or office locations in both Canada and the USA. This role has the opportunity to learn and grow with Certarus’ expanding engineering team and is best suited for a high energy and highly motivated individual.

Responsibilities for the Project Engineer include but are not limited to:

• Help promote a proactive and positive safety culture within Certarus and its suppliers.
• Develop engineering drawings for new customer projects, engineering documentation, or training.
• Follow up on various initiatives in the field.
• Review and implement design changes to improve the quality and functionality of equipment.
• Lead special projects as the business needs evolve.
• Commission new equipment to verify quality control and that each unit meets all functional requirements.
• Update and maintain project drawings and documents
• Provide project management for various projects such as equipment retrofits or facility upgrades.
• Technical Support
• Procure critical parts and manage key supply chain efforts.
• Equipment Design and Support:
• Provide on-call support for Operations and Sales teams when needed.
• Operations Support:
• Help develop tools to maximize efficiency of the day to day engineering activities.
• Support all other efforts to maintain production schedules.
• Contribute to design reviews and product development projects.

Requirements:

• A self starter with relentless habits in line with Certarus core values.
• Experience with CNG is an asset
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Demonstrated success in fast paced cultures
• 2-5 years experience in a technical role within an industrial hands-on environment.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Experience with compressor package design, piping, electrical, and control systems.
• Valid driver’s licence
