Primary Purpose of the Job:To provide overall management and accountability for the effective and efficient functioning of the program. Ensure all contract expectations and milestones are met. To lead the team in day-to-day operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the team is taking a client-centered approach and that all business is conducted in a professionally ethical manner
- Manage physical resources, information management, communication, and marketing
- Attend networking opportunities representing MCG and the program
- Lead ongoing program review
- Provide training and be involved in the initial onboarding of new team members
- Ensure achievement of program deliverables according to the contract and the Hope-Centered Model of Career Development
- Address client and employer concerns following MCG policy and best practices
- Provide comprehensive management & leadership of the program
- Prepare staff timesheets for submission
- Provide direction for daily operations
- Write the final program report
- On occasion, provide coverage or carry a caseload if:- There is not enough staff
- Provide team/business management
- To reduce wait times for clients
- Ensure client eligibility and employment eligibility requirements are being met
- Delegate responsibility and assign tasks
- Ensure statistics and reporting are complete
- Conduct regular team meetings to ensure the flow of communication
- Project/contract is not meeting outcomes
- Engage in recruitment (client, employer, service providers) activities
- Provide face-to-face information intake sessions
- Handle staff concerns, conflict management and creative support problem solving
- Ensure File requirements are met, satisfying contract expectations
Qualifications:
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Three years in project management/leadership role
- Interview and assessment training
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead a team to achieve daily/weekly/monthly goals
- Strong decision-making and conflict-resolution skills
- Experience working in a client-based industry
- Certificate/Diploma/Degree in a related discipline; CCDP Designation or a Specialized Career Development Certificate
- Knowledge of Government funded programs is an asset
