Compensation: Base Salary ($58,000 - $60,000) plus bonus
KidStrong Program Directors are the leaders of the center – it is the responsibility of the Program Director to foster a culture of learning and development for both their Coaches and the Families that attend the center. The Program Director is a talented, welcoming, and engaging leader who is focused on defining goals and delivering an exceptional experience for the kids, families, and team members. The goal of the Program Director is to develop and train their coaching team, build the culture of their center through interacting with families and managing center operations, and to deliver amazing classes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
COACHING
- Achieve Coach Certification through the HQ Training and Certification team.
- Lead monthly center staff programming meetings where staff receive training for the following months programming.
- Complete trainings throughLearnUpon as required by the HQ Training and Certification team.
- Must be comfortable physically working with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.
- Coach students by delivering an evolving curriculum that focuses on Brain, Physical, and Character development for ages groups ranging from 15 months - 11 years-old minimum 12 hours a week and on an as needed basis.
- Understand the “why” behind the KidStrong curriculum and be able to clearly and concisely communicate it.
- Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, including periodic checks of messages when not in centers.
- Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through class, lift and repeatedly move equipment up to 50 pounds in weight.
- Use the KS Coaches App to record data and provide data (attendance, awards, etc.).
- Must be able to ensure classes both start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum.
- Assisting parents of students, ages 3 and younger, with the direction and flow of a class.
- Maintain dynamic, fun, motivational. and professional demeanor when leading class
- Create positive interactions with students and families before, during, and after class.
- Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various programming and curriculum elements.
LEADERSHIP
- Manage and support ongoing professional development of staff through LearnUpon.
- Continuously assess and document performance of Coaches.
- Recruit, screen, interview, onboard, manage, train and evaluate coaching candidates.
- Achieve Program Director Certification through HQ certification team
- Lead training practicals for new coaching candidates.
- Attend monthly HQ Nation Head Coaching call.
- Ensure coaching evaluations are up to date on a 30/60/90 model.
- Ensure candidates complete all paperwork to be in compliance with company policy and law.
- Develop coaches through formal feedback sessions on a weekly basis.
- Lead coaching candidates through the training process and required evaluations.
- Build and maintain relationships with KidStrong families to align with our core values (Families do not leave KidStrong).
- Set and communicate Coach schedules using appropriate scheduling and communication platforms.
- Attend weekly leadership meeting with Raleigh AD’s & leaders
- Monitor and ensure staffing levels are met while continually recruiting future talent.
- Lead center level programming rollout and train staff on next month’s programming.
- Attend monthly HQ programming rollout to learn ensuing month’s programming.
CENTER OPERATIONS
- Daily, Weekly, and Monthly cleaning and maintenance of the center; quarterly support with upkeep of other centers in the KidStrong portfolio.
- Learn and manage your center’s KidStrong Camp - special classes held by centers when local schools are not operating (example: Winter Break, Summer Break, School Track Out and Holidays).
- Oversee center level initiatives i.e. center maintenance, trainings, brand consistency etc.
- Manage center level employee issues and manage appropriate documentation
- Assist in the execution of community events as necessary.
- Build and maintain relationships with KidStrong families to align with our core values (Families do not leave KidStrong!)
- Source, organize, and attend local grassroots marketing events to increase memberships and trials.
- Typical schedule includes 4 weekday and 1 weekend shifts with specific hours being dependent on the needs of the center.
- Partner with center leaders on needs, KPIs, class ratings, and overall center performance, including weekly meetings with your center’s operations specialist.
- Basic understanding of the center’s financials in order to make informed and responsible business decisions.
- Provide excellent customer service to families and handle their needs when in center.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience with systems and platforms such as ZenPlanner, LearnUpon, CareerPlug, ADP, and FranConnect is preferred but not required
- Self-starter who just gets the job done
- Practical work experience with Google and Microsoft platforms.
- CPR certified ( can obtain within 90 days of employment )
- Comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding variety of topics
- Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics
- Enjoy the spotlight, excel in coaching, and mentoring
- Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT is a plus, but not required
- Passion for working with children is non-negotiable
- Athletic or coaching background with experience working with or coaching kids ages 15 months - 11 years old.
- Prior experience speaking to and educating parents on KidStrong curriculum is preferred
- Previous experience in management is preferred but not required
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position will supervise all Coaches. The Program Director will be a leader and mentor so communication and interpersonal skills are important.
Sphere of Interaction
The Program Director will work closely with center team members and families. This position will also interact with Raleigh leadership and KidStrong, Inc. HQ team members.

Compensation: $58,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year plus bonus.
