We are currently looking for an individual who is outgoing, hardworking and has a passion for the game of ringette. This individual must be able to build relationships, work in high stress environments and be able to work on several different projects at once.
The coordinator role is responsible for the planning and implementation of
activities related to ringette operations as well as the development of programs
compliant with the standards set at the Provincial and National levels. They will have direct involvement in development initiatives at the grassroots to the high-performance levels.
In this role they will help develop and promote Ringette Ontario initiatives, policies, and programs to greatly enhance the consistency and overall ringette experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Operations
- Oversee team formation across zones/province.
- Events.
- Oversee training and development opportunities within local communities.
- Provide Club level complaint support.
- Provide guidance and support to member clubs as it relates to areas of player, coach, and officials’ development.
- Provide tournament support prior to and during Ringette Ontario sanctioned
Development
- Develop, implement, and support operational program standards for Club House League programming.
- Support the development of House League programs and Children’s Ringette Festivals.
- Assist to recruit, train, and support instructional staff for growth initiatives such as the Come Try Ringette.
- Work with the Operations Director to develop seasonal plans for player
- Work with local clubs to develop and plan new player skill development initiatives.
- Assist with delivery of key development programs such as Children’s Ringette.
- Assist in developing seasonal plans of all Coach Development activities.
- Provide leadership and direction to Member Organization Coach Directors.
- Build and strengthen the Coach/Coach Director network within Ringette Ontario.
- Support programming elements of the Come Try Ringette program.
- Development activities.
- Provide leadership and support to Coach Mentorship Programs being run at Club level.
Other Related Duties
- Attendance at AGM and committee meetings, as required.
- Other duties as requested by the Executive Director and/or Operations Director.
- Assistance at Ringette Ontario events.
Qualifications
- Ability to comply with the association’s policies with regards to screening (e.g., Criminal Record Checks) and conflict of interest.
- Preferred qualification - A strong knowledge of, and passion for, the sport of Ringette.
- Understand the principles of Safe Sport.
- Involvement in developing, implementing, and evaluating programs are an asset.
- Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with staff, volunteers, and external stakeholders.
- Minimum of two years of experience working in the Canadian sport system,
- Commitment to the vision, mission, and values of Ringette Ontario.
- Strong team player, with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to set priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, knowledge of internet and web applications. Experience using RAMP membership registration system is an asset.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time remote position with a comprehensive benefits package.
The position will require irregular working hours, including some weekends during competition season.
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
