Hays is proud to partner with a major Canadian distributor who is looking to recruit for the role of Product Manager to join their team. Your new role
As Product Manager, you will be the company's contact for the product lines for which you are responsible for. You will be responsible for developing and executing product strategies, managing product lifecycles, supporting product applications etc. This position requires a high level of technical knowledge and a deep understanding of the HVAC industry, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with vendors, customers, and internal team members including sales.
Your Responsibilities will include:
- Provide technical support and training to Technical Sales Support (TSS) team members, if needed.
- Support sales team in the development of tactical sales strategies and programs for the dealer network.
- Support with creation and collection of market intelligence and marketing statistics.
- Work in close collaboration with the sales teams to support sustainable growth maintaining market leadership position in residential markets in the region.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and vendor, to ensure successful product launches and ongoing support.
- Travel within Eastern Canada and conduct meetings with Dealers, Territory/Regional Managers and Branch Directors etc.
- Participate in local professional groups, industry associations and functions.
- Provide continuous feedback on market activity, customer needs and preferences, and use this information to inform product development.
- Develop and deliver product application and sales training to company and dealer’s sales staff.
- In collaboration with the sales team further develop Dealer sales personnel to be proficient in selling/offering products to the residential market in the region.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and industry experts, to stay up to date on industry trends and best practices.
- Work with Product Specialist and vendors to improve product technical issues, performance, and reliability.
- Participate in the development and execute product strategies that align with company goals and market trends
- Get involved in the marketing of different products including preparation of marketing tools, catalogs, and sales guides
- Work with Supply Chain teams to facilitate inventory pipeline and level.
- Provide feedback and influence product pricing and profitability, ensuring that products are priced competitively and meet profit targets
- Contribute to the creation of and administer Residential Sales Promotional Programs including financing etc.
- Support and develop residential product specification market in the region.
- Working with the sales team further enable dealers to achieve or exceed annual regional product sales objectives.
- Involvement with suppliers to align strategic sales plans.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have a 8+ years’ of industry experience, strong knowledge of HVAC & controls, studies in a relevant field, have the ability to work on fast paced and changing environment, excellent communication skills and are bilingual.
