Reporting to the AVP, Group Product Strategy & Growth, the Product Manager will be responsible for the ongoing growth and development of Interac’s debit products and contribute towards new product development initiatives. They will use their knowledge and judgement to align diverse groups internally and externally while analyzing the potential and risk of various opportunities.


You're great at...


  • Working with a cross-functional team to conduct research and analysis to identify growth opportunities and market trends related to Interac's debit payment products.
  • Ensuring compliance with partners with review and understanding of upcoming mandates or changes.
  • Collaborating with technical communications for documentation. Preparing and coordinating product introductions and updates.
  • Forecasting and delivering product volume growth, drawing on market trend analysis, consumer behaviour and economic factors.
  • Relationship management with partners on Debit products and managing expectations on strategies and roadmaps for product enhancement, product growth and new products.
  • Developing and executing product strategies that support debit growth, in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Working with various business units and external stakeholders to deliver agreed features, capabilities, policy and regulations in full, on time, on budget and with agreed benefits in accordance with corporate methodologies.
  • Assisting in Product Management activities as per Interac’s approved Product Management Process.
  • Preparing product updates to communicate on the business performance while actively looking for opportunities.
  • Developing business cases for new product functionality, leveraging Interac assets to drive incremental debit usage and revenue.
  • Interfacing with engineers, product analysts, suppliers and clients to develop and prioritize product requirements, specifications and features. Developing product roadmaps and timelines that support debit growth.
  • Translating business problems/goals into business requirements and assisting in creating all necessary details which accompany user requirements.
  • Assisting in the execution of commercial objectives, including product enhancement, product marketing, product growth, segment strategies and annual budget.


Who are you?


  • Strong planning, analytical and evaluative skills in order to manage priorities within a performance management and measurement environment.
  • Experience with agile methodologies is an asset.
  • Demonstrated success leading product strategy and execution from concept to launch.
  • Hands on tactical focus to provide close attention to product service, problem resolution and customer experience.
  • Advanced communication skills, both written and oral, to ensure plans and product development presentations are clearly communicated, understood and effectively applied.
  • Strong alliance/partnership and relationship management skills.
  • The ability to represent the organization at a senior level and are comfortable in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • A passion for technology, are web savvy and an early adopter.
  • Proven Product Management experience in finance, electronic solutions and payments industries.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • The ability to partner with the technology team to drive releases and roll-out enhanced features/products quickly.
