About the role


As Product Manager over Data Products, you will be responsible for ensuring quality of critical data-related features and products for our customers. You will be seen as subject matter expert in regards to these features and products including our Channels, Calculations, Margin / Markup, Data Exporter, Smart Campaigns, and other features. This role will require you to own the roadmap for each of these features and products so that the TapClicks offering is best-in-class.


This is a fast-paced role that comes with influence, autonomy, and the opportunity to be a core contributing member of the organization. You will be working directly with internal teams, key data partners, and major VIP customers.


The ideal candidate is skilled with identifying pain points and providing strategies to resolve those pain points. The candidate must be clear in defining requirements, comfortable with technical discussions regarding data, and able to keep track of multiple projects simultaneously.


To be effective, the candidate will need to effectively communicate with customers, internal stakeholders and executives. They should also have project management skills to lead the entire process.

Job Responsibilities


  • Communicate directly with customers to understand their needs and pain points
  • Maintain inbound client requests
  • Propose strategies to make improvements on the quality of our data-related features and products based on market trends and competitive analysis
  • Act as subject matter expert for internal / external teams in regards to strategic integrations
  • Maintain internal documentation
  • Draft requirements & specification documents
  • Play a critical role on the product team
  • Work closely with Engineering and Support to mitigate customer bug reports
  • Present regular project updates to the executive team and customer facing teams


KPI’s for this role

  • Review inbound requests in a timely manner
  • Respond to cross-department inquiries in a timely manner
  • Deliver collateral to requesting departments
  • Decrease the number of feature enhancement requests for data-related features and products
  • Decrease number of bug tickets reports for data-related features and products
  • Present strategic plans and foster discussions with executive team


Technical Competencies

  • Experience with analytics, reporting, data visualizations, etc. is a plus
  • Experience working within the Strategic Products is preferred
  • Experience with Product Mgmt Tools: Jira, Productboard, etc
  • Experience working with data platforms and ETL tools is preferred


Non-Technical Competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communicator
  • Ability to proactively take ownership of and delivering solutions
  • Comfortable speaking to customers and internal stakeholders alike
  • Ability to build empathy with users to generate feature ideas

Other Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Business Analyst / Product Manager required (3+ yrs)
